What Former Students Have to Say

Today, I attended my last youth ministry class for my undergrad degree here at LCU. I’m so thankful for Rondel and his passion to help us grow and learn in every aspect of our lives. I am also very thankful that I had the opportunity to learn alongside such an awesome group of my peers. We laughed, asked questions, and even cried together. I am thankful for this program and these people who have helped me to become more confident and have been a much-needed listening ear. I’m super thankful for this experience
— Lexi, Litchfield IL
Thank you Rondel for being my biggest cheerleader. Each semester, I have been amazed by the drive you have to be a better professor. I’m not sure if I could have made it through my time at LCU without your presence. You are someone that I will never forget. Thank you for pushing us in every class to learn something new. Thank you for pushing us to put the things we learn into practice. Thank you for helping us learn how to be better kingdom workers. Thank you for pushing me to pursue counseling to become a better me for my future family and students. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for always being unashamedly yourself.
— Marissa, Normal IL

Thank you for all of the wisdom that you have shared with me. Thank you for sharing your heart with me and your other students. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn so many different aspects of student ministry. Thank you for challenging to think deeper about what seems like little things..Thank you for giving me space to not just remember or understand but to also analyze, evaluate, reflect, and do. I am so thankful that I chose to come to LCU to be in the Youth and Family Ministry family!
— Seth, Bath IN
In moments of reflection, I continue to laugh when I think “Oh yeah, Rondel said that.” Your teachings in college were ahead of the game. As I reconnect with other classmates, we are remembering the stuff you taught us because they stuck with us and are making sense now. The mind is a fascinating tool and you definitely have taken ahold of that truth and poured yourself out and invested into us greatly. So, with deep gratitude, I just want to say thanks, and please don’t stop. Your efforts have immensely made an impact on us. It’s the long haul, high hanging fruit you’ve been teaching. Your efforts of leading the way for us to think are much appreciated and paying off.
