“I’m a 21st-century human being trying to make sense of my reality using the Christian faith”

Rondel is passionate about living an authentic life in the Kingdom of God and preparing the next wave of servant leaders in their journey to making lifelong disciples of Jesus. He is the Program Director for the Master of Arts Ministry (Seminary) and the BA in Christian Ministry program (Undergrad) and teaches Christian Ministry classes in both the seminary and undergraduate schools at Lincoln Christian University, Lincoln IL (since 2001). Rondel loves partnering with churches, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to provide leadership development, strategic planning, team training, mentoring and coaching, parent encouragement, church consulting, and speaking.

He holds a BA (1986) and a MA (1999) from Johnson University and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Spiritual Formation (2021) from Lincoln Christian University focusing on crafting discipleship strategies for the local church that nurtures disciples with a resilient, confident faith instead of a fragile one.

Prior to coming to LCU in 2001, he was the youth and adult education minister at Central Church of Christ in Streator IL for 15 years. Rondel and his wife, Jennifer (May 1984), have two grown children: Son, Zach (his wife Betsy, and their kids Lydia and Micah) and daughter Abbie.

His passions are spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren), carpentry and woodworking, riding bikes, landscaping, photography, and anything that has to do with creativity, and developing mature, high-capacity leading servants who honor God in all they do.

Rondel also runs ReCalibrate Pastoral Solutions, a pastoral coaching and church consultation endeavor.

Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have it overflowing. That was the point of God incarnating Himself in our world. I honor Him by living this kingdom life to the fullest and reflecting on all that I see and do.
