How to help students develop spiritual plasticity // Blog

Just as neural plasticity is vital for our brain’s health & capacity for learning & growth, we have to aid students to develop spiritual plasticity by creating experiences & environments where they can explore what it means to be a mature Christ follower in the 21st century.

The spiritual disciplines greatly help in this process. Students must be lead to explore the depths of God and the vastness of his world and how they connect.

Many, sadly, get stuck in the spiritual mud.

Help them be curious, humble, open, anticipating, skilled at feeding themselves at mature disciples, and able to live in the tension of the spectrums of the faith journey. It is the embrace of the mystery that will keep the thinking people spiritual and spiritual people thinking.
