Imagine when “you’re in a situation that is very familiar, something you’ve seen or done countless times before, but you feel as if you’re experiencing something completely new. This is vuja de!”
The irreverent George Carlin coined the above term to describe his observational practice to notice the mundane in a different way.
How powerful living a vuja de life would be. We would notice the lonely, see those who feel invisible, and treat everyone that we encounter as incredible creations of God. I truly believe that we would see thumbprints of God everywhere we would look.
May this week be a vuja de week for you as we pay attention to the ordinary!
